About the Photographer

Olga Vasina

Born in Eastern Europe, I came to Canada from Ukraine over 20 years ago and have called it home ever since. Trained in mathematics, I eventually found in photography a lifelong source of balance, reflection, and joy — capturing the world through the eyes of the people and places I love.

My work captures the quiet beauty of everyday moments — landscapes, wildlife, and the unguarded warmth of the people I love. From a hummingbird's fleeting grace to the stillness of light on water, these images are an invitation to slow down and notice what is always there, if we pause long enough to look.

With over 15 years of independent practice, my photography has been exhibited at Toronto Public Library branches and featured in the Fujifilm Print Your Life Exhibition. I am a grand prize winner of an international photography competition judged across three stages — curators, public vote, and a selected jury — among tens of thousands of submissions.
